AMA Point System

​Welcome to the AMA Point System! This program encourages active participation and engagement within our community. Earn points by attending events, engaging on social media, joining committees, volunteering, and more. Stay involved, get initiated, and compete for exciting rewards!

Membership Requirements

​To maintain your status as an active member, you need to earn at least 100 points per semester. For initiation, a minimum of 200 points is required by the end of the semester. Members who meet these requirements will be officially initiated before winter break or summer break.

Event Participation

General Meetings

  • Attendance: Earn 10 points per meeting.

Speaker Events/Workshops

  • Attendance: Collect 25 points per event.

Networking Events

  • Attendance: Get 15 points per event.

Social Events

  • Attendance: Receive 10 points per event.

  • Organizing/Hosting w Lauren: Gain 20 points for organizing or hosting an event.

Social Media Engagement

Committee Participation

Posting on LinkedIn

  • Event Posts: Share your AMA event experiences and earn 5 points per post (up to 3 posts per event).

Sharing AMA Content

  • Official Post Shares: Earn 2 points per share (up to 5 shares per month).

Joining a Committee

  • Initial Membership: Earn 10 points for joining.

  • Continued Membership: Get 20 points per semester for remaining active.

Committee Meetings

  • Attendance: Collect 10 points per meeting.

Leading a Committee Project

  • Project Initiation and Planning: Earn 20 points.

  • Successful Completion: Get an extra 10 points.

Writing for AMA Newsletter/Blog

  • Article Submission: Earn 15 points per article.

  • Featured Article: Get an extra 10 points.

Creating Promotional Materials

  • Videos: Collect 25 points per video.

  • Posters/Flyers: Earn 15 points per project.

  • Social Media Campaigns: Gain 20 points per campaign.

Professional Development

Attending External Marketing Conferences/Webinars

  • Attendance: Earn 15 points per event.

Pay AMA Fee

  • Fee: Earn 50 points when paid.

Recruitment

Bringing a New Member

  • New Member Sign-up: Earn 15 points per new member.

  • New Member Retention: Get 10 points if they stay active for a semester.

Mentoring a New Member

  • Initial Mentorship: Receive 20 points per mentee.

  • Ongoing Support: Earn 15 points per semester.

Award System & Additional Guidelines

The member with the highest points by the end of each semester will win a trip to the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans (NOLA), free of charge (excluding personal spending). Runner-ups will receive gift cards or AMA merchandise as consolation prizes.

Points are tracked by the AMA Executive Board and updated monthly. Members can check their points through the AMA portal or request a summary from the Executive Board. Participate in a variety of activities to earn points and gain a holistic experience. For any point disputes, contact the Executive Board for a review.
